Do you have a talent? I believe everyone has, and especially if you are a parent, you will for sure become so creative, you don’t even know that you are talented. Until of course, somebody tells you that you are. Receive the praises!
I am pleased to present to you some of their creative work of art.
Siti Sofiah Binte Ridwan, daughter of Facebook iPostForParents member Masayu Nurjannah, here with ESM Goh Chok Tong. The background mural was done by designed by her. Marine Parade Estate wanted to colour all the ‘silent’ wall of the HDB blocks and invited aspiring young talents who love the Arts to work on these walls so Sofiah came forward and celebrated SG50 with her work.
This is a painting of the Lohan fish i did using watercolor. This fish became a phenomenon in Singapore some time ago. It was long forgotten but this fish is still in existence in my sister’s home. Long live Lohan.
One fine day, my daughter say, “Mum lets do some painting.” So we painted the same picture. Mine was just plain still life but hers is more abstract. It was just our daughter and mother session to relieve some stress but most importantly bonding session. – Khaziah Bte Yem
This painting was done for a charity fund raising campaign for victims of the Tsunami in Aceh Indonesia, organized by a school I worked for. My husband bought it for Rp 300,000. Proceeds went to charity and we got my painting back. That was very kind of him.
My Art work was done when I was attending the Illustration Course in NAFA. My medium was poster colours. I limited my colour used to only a few colours. The pasture and tree is the blend of green and yellow. My painting depicted Spring where the days are coloured with blue skies and beautiful flowers.
“This cross stitch was done as a gift to my husband while he took up some study on computer language (now coding) etc… late nights so while he work on his computer stuff, I stitch!” Masayu Nurjannah
